Heart Foundation has me "ticked-off"!

Someone needs to make this organisation accountable! Their latest news release a few weeks ago has me and anyone knowing the truth of the matter, ticked-off. Their silly Media Release, which can be viewed on the URL http://tinyurl.com/3ajvgn3 is entitled "To Avoid Trans Fat, Avoid Butter". It seems they are all in an ill-informed tizzy because popular cooking programs, celebrity chefs and food magazines are all using butter in their recipes and butter sales are up over 9% in the past year. So this Media Release is asking Australians not to eat butter because it has trans and saturated fats and to eat margarine instead. Holy embolism! My blood pressure went right up reading this nonsense.

Those of you who have been following my Blog postings have read my post "Ancel Keyes and his Phony Fat Myth" back in April and you would now know more than this supposed scientific foundation. Their stupid advice to switch from a natural fat to a phony substitute is down right irresponsible. The public needs to know the truth about margarine. From its conception in the 1930's it has had a trans fat percentage of between 14-35% ! The Heart Foundation had given this product (which is just a few molecules away from becoming a plastic) their tick of approval for many decades despite evidence against trans fats since 1978! Their ignorance and attitude makes me believe that the Australian public's health is not in their best interest and we should start to wonder what is behind some of their marketing strategies. Perhaps it is the almighty dollar. I seem to remember McDonald's getting a tick for one of their hamburgers shortly after a $330,000 donation.

In actuality, butter has a small amount of trans fat occurring naturally and reacts in the body differently than chemically produced man-made trans fats, or the partial hydrogenation of vegetable oil. Butter also contains saturated fats but these are not the enemy; that was totally misrepresented for 50 years as the Curse of Cholesterol. Fat is important for our health but we must eat the right type -- the good fat. It's really easy. All fats from nature, like nuts, seeds, avocado, olives, eggs, butter, coconut and anything extracted from these foods in a healthy way is good fat. A bad fat is a fat that has been manipulated, changed and contorted in some way in a chemical laboratory.

The Heart Foundation tick of approval adorns foods that aren't even foods, but rather a bunch of chemicals disguised as food but as long as they are low fat, low salt, high fibre, low calorie they get that tick. Just check out the ingredients (not the nutrition label) on the following and see if you really think they are good for your health. Kellogg's Just Right, ProActive margarine, Healthy Choice Meals, Farmers Own Milk, Diet Yoghurts and Birds Eye Chicken & Vegie Patties, just to name a few.

The Way I See It....we need to move away from the old Margarine-is-Better argument and eat real food! With new evidence over the past 7 years steering away from the links between cholesterol and saturated fat and more towards other factors then I think that the Heart Foundation needs to smarten up, jettison 50 years of Junk Science and let the public know or it's reputation will be totally discredited.

Germany's Fraying Welcome Mat

Germany's attempts to create a multicultural society in which people from various cultural backgrounds live together peacefully had failed, Chancellor Angela Merkel said last week. She conceded that "Multikulti", the concept that "we are now living side by side and are happy about it", does not work.

Backing up her rueful admission are surveys showing 35% of Germans believe the country is overrun by foreigners. An equal number believe the foreigners come to feed off German welfare. Merkel had in mind the Turks who came mainly as "gastarbeiters"(guest workers) in the 1960's. Some 2.5 million now live in Germany, in their densely packed neighborhoods with no desire to return back home to Turkey.

This was very obvious to me as I travelled around Berlin and it's suburbs last year and saw it for myself. The Turkish flag on every street, the strictly Turkish shop signage and not a German seen or voice heard. (see my photo). Recently Arabs and East Europeans have come and the Muslim population is now up to 5 million! This has led Horst Seehofer. from Merkel's party to call for a halt in immigration of "alien cultures". He says, "the Turks and other Muslims are not learning the language, not assimilating, not becoming Germans. We are committed to a dominant German culture and opposed to a multicultural one."

The German relatives I visited said they already had a growing sense that their Muslim population was becoming a culture within a culture. A real and shocking awareness of deep differences with their Turkish neighbors became acute for Germans when, grieving in solidarity with America after 9/11, they learned that Turkish sectors of Berlin were celebrating Islam's victory with barrages of fireworks and small rockets. Germans are nervous and are sensing there may be truth to the phrase; "Welcome to Eurarabia!"

The Way I See It....the resurgence of ethnonationalism that is feeding the ranks of populist and anti-immigrant parties across Europe and gaining respectability doesn't solve Germany's problem. She is running out of Germans! Yet, if her welfare state is to survive and her industries are to remain competitive, Germany will need millions of new workers. Where are they to come from, if not the Third World. For not one European nation, save Iceland and Albania, has had a birth rate for decades that is not below zero population growth. You see...Baby-Boomer Europe decided in the 1970's and 1980's it wanted La Dolce Vita, not the hassle of children. It made for a sweet life. Now the bill comes due. And the bill is the end of their "tribes"and countries as we have known them. Old Europe is dying and the populist and nationalist parties, in the words of Dylan Thomas, are simply "raging against the dying of the light!"

The Post-American Presidency

Presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama promised a post-partisan, post-racial presidency if elected. What the voters got was a third type of "post", one for which they clearly didn't bargain for. A new book, The Post-American Presidency by Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer argues that Obama's every move bespeaks a call to an old Soviet-style internationalism at the expense of his own country.

This book details Obama's radical roots, which the socialist press ignored, his consistent attempts to denigrate and degrade the U.S. as a super power and his uneasy ties to anti-Semitism. It's an exhaustive book, using the political record and encapsulates a President who hid his true self during the election campaign. He and his team purposely hid a gaggle of his personal records as well as academic and senatorial writings.

Obama's radicalism started long before he took the oath of office as a newly elected Illinios Senator. His anti-colonialist Kenyan father asserted a philosophy that demanded weak countries be strengthened at the expense of the strong. This is why Barack supported a Global Poverty Act that would've tied U.S. foreign aid to the UN's whim. "This is not your run-of-the-mill Marxiam. This would have been a redistribution of wealth on a global scale." say the authors. Obama's indoctrination into far-left precincts is covered in detail. We meet his associates, a rogues gallery of anti-American leftists,Communists and ratbag radicals who chummed around with Obama for decades (also outlined in a pre-election book entitled The Truth about Obama, ignored by the besotted public and ass-kissing press corps). None of these scum ever believed in the obvious truth of American Exceptionalism.

One can simply start with his Marxist mother and uncle, which Obama once called, "the dominant figures in my formative years." The stance toward Israel stems from his affection for race-driven philosophers and directly with his time (20 years) in the Rev Jermiah Wright's hate-filled church. Not only hearing over and over, "God Damn America!" but getting married there and having his spawn baptised there. All the while the media did their best to downplay Obama's radical ties.

Obama's stance toward Iran, a rogue regime building its own nuclear program, falls right in line with his inability to use American force, even soft power, in an effective manner. When many Iranian people rose up against their country's crooked elections, Obama said next to nothing to support them. The mullahs laughed, slaughtered some of the protesters, jailed many more and refueled their nuclear ambitions. "Iran is clearly emboldened by Barack's weakness, at the worst possible time for it to be emboldened," they write. "Obama believed that simply by showing the Iranians some love, he could persuade them to drop their genocidal bellicosity and join the ranks of the free, peace-loving nations." NOT!

The Way I See It....this President often leans on hard, cold fiction to support his naive international bent. He recast American history to let Islam take a greater part in it while the suppliant media remained silent. When the facts proved without a doubt that the Fort Hood Muslim shooter was motivated by radical Islam he couldn't bring himself or his administration to admit that reality to the American people. His weakness to the Islamic threat matters. Just consider the spate of attempted terrorist attacks in the past year a sign that the jihadist's see Americans, from their President down, as unsure of themselves. This no-holds barred informative book spells out Obama's radicalism in black and white for all to see....and fear. Let's hope he becomes a one term President like that equally vacillating dead-shit Jimmy Carter!

Are You Sitting Down ?

Okay....here's the bombshell that'll blow Al Gore, Greenies, and many assorted Commie Watermelon Groups "out of the water"! Remember that volcanic eruption spewing ash high in the sky, last April, in Iceland? Well, scientific measurements have found that in just the first FOUR DAYS of that hugh and spectacular eruption, it NEGATED EVERY SINGLE EFFORT all of you have made in the past 5 YEARS to control those CO2 emissions on our planet! Truly!

Of course you know about this evil carbon dioxide that we are told to suppress. It is that vital 0.038% component of our atmosphere that every plant requires to live and grow and synthesize into oxygen for us humans and all animal life. It's such a small percentage that even if you double it...it's still a very small part of our atmosphere which Big Al and his Eco-Fascist ratbag friends don't bother telling you.

I know...it's very disheartening to realize that all of the carbon emissions you have prevented while suffering the inconvenience and expense of: driving Prius hybrids, buying fabric grocery bags, throwing out all of your non-green cleaning products, using only two squares of toilet paper, putting a brick in your toilet tank, only using your SUV for small trips, vacationing at home instead of overseas, learning to ride a bike, replacing all of your $1 light bulbs with $10 ones....well, all those things you have done and tried to do have all gone down the tubes in just those first four days of volcanic activity half way around the world. And there are many active volcanoes on our planet spewing out this crud any one time!

Of course I shouldn't spoil this touchy-feely, tree-hugging moment, but I will, and re-mention (from my previous posts) the effect of solar and cosmic activity have as well as the well-recognized 800-year global heating cycle, which keeps happening despite our completely insignificant efforts to affect climate change. HEY...isn't it interesting how they don't mention "Global Warming" any more, but just say "Climate Change"? You know why? It's because our Earth has COOLED by 0.7 degrees in the past century and these global warming bullshit artists got caught with their pants down. Now scientists suspect an Ice Age might be coming; which they say we are long overdue on having anyway.

The Way I See it.... we must forcefully tell our politicians and brain-washed young people that to impose a whopping carbon tax on the basis of the bogus "human-caused" climate change scenario we don't need and don't want will make us all the poorer for it. For a government to even think of having an Emissions Trading Scheme when the the EU has had one for 10 years and has proven itself to be an abject FAILURE! The only great advantage was for the banks that got commissions for Carbon Trading and the energy companies that enriched themselves at the expense of their customers. It won't stop any volcano's from erupting, that's for sure. I wonder if Iceland is buying any carbon offsets?????

You'd Have "Stolen" Too !

In 2008, one of the first acts the newly-elected Prime Minister of Australia, Kevin Rudd, did was stand before Parliament and make speech that said "SORRY" to the Stolen Generation. He and his leftist Labor government bought into the fabrication of Aboriginal history and the work of the missionaries by white. bleeding-heart, anti-establishment historians like Anna Haebich and Christine Choo. The missionaries were viewed as having worked in tandem with the government authorities to grab half-caste girls from their parents to be "whited-out" and Christianized. To this end they were demonized and reportedly encouraged families and pressured them to send these children to their care. The real truth of their benevolent mission was maliciously twisted to become our generation's guilt-trip.

Here's a few examples of what actually worried the missionaries and made them take action:

• A local telegraph operator had reported that "a 5 year-old half-caste girl was out with an old woman when a bush black took her away for two nights during which time the black woman said he made use of her. A very common practice I hear."
• In 1900, a postmaster reported how girls under 10 years had been cohabiting with Asiatics for many months. He said, "Half-caste girls commanded the best prices and enabled the mother and so-called father to live without any exertion whatsoever on the proceeds of tucker they received fortnightly where 20-40 boats come in for water."
• In 1929 in W.A., Pallotine monks were appalled by families prostituting their daughters.They commented that "one couple had been trafficking with their young daughter in a big way, she had to go wherever her father told her. If only we had Nuns here, she and the other girls could be saved from this life of perdition!"
• In 1904, one graphic account from a postmaster reported that he saw more 50 young females mating with Asian crews at Cowen Creek mooring grounds. He complained that was just one of many such mooring grounds and that VD was rampant.
• Also boys of 10-12 were being lured or forced onto Malay pearling boats for sexual use.

The missionaries, far from being obsessed with "stealing" children, were in fact obsessed for decades with the health crisis and amoral behavior of the Aboriginals (nothing seems to have changed). The mission stations rather than the state governments took the lead in rescuing young girls from sexual squalor and early death. These reprehensible historians sneered at the missionaries for trying to enforce their ideas of gentility onto the children, including modesty, cleanliness and self esteem as the sign of cultural genocide. Keith Windschuttle in his book, "The Fabrication of Aboriginal History" comments that in reality the "missionaries had no power whatsoever to force Aborigines to come to their missions and stay there. It is very difficult to reconcile this reality with the purported objective of eliminating the Aboriginal race." Windshuttle concludes that the missions also did a far better job than the state officials did.

The Way I See It....the missions and the hard working missionaries educated children to a good primary standard and rescued many females from horrific sexual fates. They lifted health standards and saved many Aborigines from dysentery, venereal disease and other health related diseases. The notion that to accomplish these ends they contributed to the Stolen Generations is manifestly untrue and the historians who make such a claim should be repudiated and not be believed.

Unclear About Nuclear ?

Should Australia "go" nuclear? It's a question that has split environmentalists and our pragmatic scientists for too long. It is an important question and needs to be answered NOW! The Greens have demonized nuclear power in favour of alternative electrical energy sources that won't be viable and sustainable for 40 years. All their talk of reducing carbon pollution has blinkered them to the most obvious continuous source of clean energy; it's got to be nuclear! Australia is being left behind in the world-wide rush to go nuclear.

France has 58 nuclear power plants dotted across its country-side producing 75% of its needs. Japan has 54 and Russia has 32 and building 11 more. China has 12 and building 23 more! And who's supplying them with the Uranium to fire up these plants, our vast deposits are. We are selling overseas when we could be using it for ourselves. It's ridiculous that our politicians don't have the vision and the guts to say to these Watermelons in our midst, "bugger off" we need these facilities. Actually the country could use 6 to start with. Picture this: Six plants built in a 10 kilometre circle in the centre of Australia with power lines going each to Darwin, Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Wouldn't that be a sight?

Look people, if little Belgium with 7 plants, Spain with 8, Sweden with 10 and 17 across the German country-side (see photo) can see no threat to themselves why can't we? What you need are the facts so we can realistically make the right decision to curb pollution, use less fossil fuels and not sacrifice jobs or our lifestyle. Here's some "eye-openers" for you.

Safety first: For one thing a reactor is not a bomb, they can't blow up. Nuclear reactors are over-designed to provide fool-proof control while withstanding earthquakes, airplane crashes and missile strikes among other disasters. France has a state-of-the-art reactor for sale, the Areva's EPR, however our country's requirements could easily be met with the less expensive South Korean Kepco's model APR1400.

Practicality: To generate the same amount of energy (with unreliable wind) as an average-sized nuclear plant, you would need 435 square kilometres filled with wind turbines. By contrast, a nuclear facility fits on less than 1.5 kilometer space. A half-kilo of plutonium can produce as much energy as the Melbourne Cricket Ground full of coal. And for a given amount of energy produced, coal waste has more radioactive matter than nuclear waste.

Waste Safety: Even these facts fail to capture the major environmental advantages of nuclear power over coal-fired power. Why? Because the solid and gaseous emissions from coal burning are generated in such a hugh quantity that they are are hard to contain. They can only be spewed in the atmosphere and dumped into shallow landfills. Nuclear waste on the other hand is so minuscule in comparison that it can be completely isolated from the environment at a very modest cost, even though it has been greatly inflated by the hysteria from the anti-nuclear nut-cases. These commies-in-greens-clothing have hoodwinked the public into believing that waste disposal is an "unsolved" problem. Technology exists to convert the small amount of nuclear waste that can't be re-burned in the reactor into a solid, water-proof glass form, it is then encased in stain-steel-lined concrete containers and put thousands of feet underground. Remember, coal waste contains more overall radioactivity and is not contained at all in our landfills.

The Way I See It....without economical electric power, we will rapidly degenerate into a third-world nation and lifespans will drop considerably. Even now our energy bills are higher, even before an Emissions Trading "farce" gets started. The point is not that coal-fired power is bad, but rather that nuclear power is thousands of times cleaner and safer. And the fact that so many so-called "environmentalists" vociferously oppose nuclear power---even while they agitate for draconian measures to "stop global warming"--should tell you something about them: they are either ignorant or they have ulterior ideological motives or both. It's time to stand up and demand cleaner, cheaper and safer energy from our politicians!

More On that Ground Zero Mosque

If freedom of religion means anything in the United States, it means that Muslims have a right to congregate and worship wherever they please. But that doesn't mean the people behind this mosque, in the shadow of the former Twin Towers are acting like good neighbors or even good citizens. However, one wonders that with just over 100 mosques in the New York City area, why did the city council allow it here? Did they entertain the thought and just imagine the city fathers of, say, RIYADH so graciously clearing the way for construction of a 13-story cathedral or synagogue in the Saudi capital? I think not.

I did some investigating and found out who'll be actually funding this project. Granted, the groups leading the mosque-building effort seem just fine, but scratch a bit deeper and the instigator is revealed. The Cordoba Initiative, led by Kuwaiti-born cleric Iman Feisal Abdul Rauf, (photo) says it is devoted to "interfaith tolerance," while another sister organization, the American Society for Muslim Advancement, seeks to "foster an American Muslim identity." Unfortunately, many people with no sense of history will believe this bullshit and not realize it really will be celebrated as a Muslim monument erected on the site of a great Muslim "military victory."

And this ignorance also resides in the country's top naive, socialist, apologist; the one and only President Obama! Last Friday, this Islamic ass-kisser decided to impose his opinion on New York's dilemma and delivered a strong defense of erecting this 9/11 Mosque, much to the shock and consternation of his fellow Democrats. One said, "It's probably the dumbest thing he's said to date and we would've preferred the President be a little more a politician and a little less of a leftest college professor." Another chimed in saying the President was still "not listening to New Yorkers and on the whole, with a recent poll reporting 68% of people oppose the mosque's location, it tells you that he has a very disdainful view of the American people." I, myself, would call that an arrogant view as he pathetically tries to curry favor with the Islamists.

I have found that the question of who will pay to build the $100 million project was evaded. At first, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf insisted the funds will be raised entirely from the Muslim-American community. But then he told an Arabic-language newspaper in Britain that funding would also come from Arab countries. And that's a RED FLAG! I feel this dead-shit is the front man for Saudi Arabian funding designed to spread the most vile and radical Wahhabist strain of Islam. Already radical, Saudi-backed children's books and other materials have been found in mosques in more than dozen US cities.

Obama should've and would've have been informed by the CIA, FBI and Homeland Security that Rauf maintains disturbing ties with some pretty bad characters. One is a fellow board member of Rauf's, Hossein Mahallati, Iran's former UN ambassador and unabashed supporter of Hamas. He was charged by the Feds for acting as a frontman for Iran's nuclear proliferation initiative. Adding to the suspicion are Rauf's own statements--including a pointed refusal last month to label Hamas as a terrorist organization and advocating the supremacy of Sharia Law. Obama should have had plenty of reason to stand up for the New Yorkers or at least kept his mouth shut on this volatile local issue.

The Way I See It....it is quite possible that the Ground Zero mosque project is entirely peaceful and well-meaning, despite some obvious suspicious associations. But given the full range of circumstances and knowing the Koren's hateful message, it is not presumptively so. If its backers truly seek to really promote "understanding", they could start by making their finances fully transparent or fair-minded New Yorkers will be entitled to assume they have something to hide and condemn this project as a purely political insult. Mayor Bloomberg should realize that the Koran is the MEIN KAMPF of Islam and explains what's in store for his kind. If Islam was a political party it would be banned outright as being a Neo-Nazi movement and relegated to the dust heap of History. Sadly it is still with us.
