Christmas Eve Thoughts

I love Christmas. I love the decorations, the lights on the tree and up and down every street. I love the feeling in the air and the cooking and last minute rushing around. Yep, it's my favourite time of the year. But this year I have had a realisation that I am unsure about.

Christmas is full of pretence. From the moment we understand anything at all about Christmas, our parents pretend there is a fat man who somehow gets around the world in one night and manages to enter and exit our homes via a chimney which we may or may not even have!

When we are a little bit older we learn to pretend we love every single thing we unwrap, "It's exactly what I always wanted." We learn to pretend when Uncle Micheal makes a joke, it's funny; we learn that we must pretend we enjoy hearing "My, how you've grown!" twenty times from twenty separate relatives we don't even really remember and who all enjoy stating the bleeding obvious.

We pretend that it's okay to have five extra house-guests turn up on Christmas Eve. We pretend it's okay that our favourite wine glass gets broken and we pretend...maybe not too successfully...that the red wine stain on our carpet will come out with a professional clean. The world over, people are pretending for the Christmas season. And I wonder if that's a bad thing.

We do it, essentially, to avoid hurting people's feelings and keeping the peace. We don't want to be the ones who ruined Christmas...so we grit our teeth and pretend all is going well.

The Way I See It....I wonder why we don't do it all year round? The thing with pretending is this: the longer you do it, the more it becomes your reality. Maybe if we pretended more often to appreciate family and enjoy being with them, we would soon find we don't need to pretend any more. If we pretended more often not to care about our material possessions, like wine glasses and carpet, we might find our priorities changing so we can better see the Big Picture of our existence.

We just might find that our pretence turns into honesty and surely that can only be beneficial to us, our families and our communities. Then maybe we can take leaf out of the book of a certain baby born over 2000 years ago. And this particular baby was pretending to be nothing other than who He was. May you enjoy this Christmas, and future Christmases, in a new light and perspective.

Medics Dummy-Spit Over New Chiro-School

If it wasn't so pathetic...it would be funny. News articles have come out saying that Central Queensland University (in Mackay, Queensland) is under fire over its new Chiropractic course, described by a group of uninformed scientists and doctors as based on "anti-science". They want courses in chiropractic, as well as acupuncture and naturopathy, scrapped claiming they are a misuse of public money and encourage quackery. (sic!)

A bluntly worded letter to the university's hierarchy, signed by 34 medical people, including former Australian-of-the-Year, the Ian Frazer, known for his development of the deadly Gardasil vaccine. (See my April 26 & 27th, 2010 postings on Gardasil) It seems to have escaped these high-minded individuals that there are three other chiropractic programs in Australia situated in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth and now also in Auckland, New Zealand that can't keep up with the public's demand for chiropractic's natural healing approach.

The really stupid argument they present is that "it is necessary to protect consumers (they mean sick people) from the dangers of scientifically unproven practices and having universities giving undeserved credibility to alternative therapies." They seem to forget that Chiropractic is only 5 or so years younger than medicine. It's credibility goes back to 1895 when structural spinal misalignment causing interference to nerve supply was theorised to effect the innate health of an individual. That theory is now a fact of daily practice life for every modern chiropractor and their patients.

Speaking of unscientific, Dr Bruce Lipton, medical doctor and researcher, stated that much of medical practice itself is far from being a proven evidence-based approach. He says that only 15% of medical principles and practice qualify as being scientifically proven. You know the familiar line: "Try these pills, Mrs Jones this week and if they don''t work we'll switch to a new lot." He says that Medicine has rejected Chiropractic from the beginning because "they saw it as metaphysical. And what they call metaphysical is what we now call today Quantum Physics. Medicine is outdated, because medicine hasn't adopted Quantum Physics and it turns out that the new research reveals that the primary mechanisms controlling the body's biology are from the quantum field."

Dr Lipton states; "that allopathic medicine's old fashioned because it's still locked in to using the old physical universe of Newtonian foundations and chiropractic has been using quantum mechanics since its inception. The philosophy of chiropractic, as first postulated by D.D. Palmer, is more scientifically accurate than the principles used by allopathic medicine. It's a joke to me, because the allopathic model is the wrong model, that's why it doesn't work at keeping people well. All this treating symptoms while mostly not correcting the underlying cause of most illness."

Of course, even the pure, simple approach of chiropractic to natural healing has some oddballs in its ranks. There are colleagues (I use the term loosely) that want to limit chiropractic's help of sick humanity by confining spinal treatment to evidence-based conditions; to match the flawed allopathic model. We call these..."Medi-Practors." These people want to be recognized by medicine by discarding the original principles of D.D. Palmer and are willing to sell their soul to become medically acceptable by treating conditions rather then removing interference to spinal nerve supply (life force) to bring out the health in the patient no matter what the age group.

The Way I See It....chiropractic has had a much more accurate assessment of the flow of information in the biology in the world of the nervous system than conventional medicine. For some reason, perhaps pure arrogance, the medical profession hasn't seen the forest-for-the-trees. They can't make the connection between vertebral misalignment causing nerve interference...hence the supply to that organ, gland or tissue suffers loss of vitality. So simple.

Thirty-four misguided medicos making a big stink over one more university offering the most profound health-giving paradigm of this century sounds to me like Sour Grapes. Chiropractic, started in the 19th century, gained worldwide acceptance in the 20th century, and has now become a growing leader with the new buzz-word...Wellness Care. Governments around the world are crying out for an answer to the growing tsunami of baby-boomers and how to keep them well longer and off the hospital rolls.....and here it is... staring them in the face!

Finally, in a statement, the Central Queensland University's dean of medical and applied sciences, Grant Stanley, said, "Chiropractic is a discipline recognised by the Australian Government and the university's chiropractic program was evidence-based and WELLNESS-FOCUSED." Enough said I think!

You Trust These Bastards With Your Health?

Pharmaceutical giant CSL was reprimanded by the US Food & Drug Administration last month for "high-risk deviations" in its vaccine production that caused Australia to ban the company's flu shot for young children. (See my exposure of this cover up in my May 17th, 2010 posting)

The FDA's inspection report raised concerns that live swine flu virus was not properly deactivated to minimise the horrendous side effects of the combo vaccination. CSL's seasonal flu vaccine Fluvax, has been suspended for use by under-fives in Australia, Europe and now the US since it triggered febrile convulsions at 10 times the expected rate! So these bastards actually expect a number of convulsions from the crap they are putting into the bodies of their ignorant victims. Astonishing!

The report revealed that CSL dismissed as a "false result"a test that detected "an infectious virus" in a sample that investigator Rose Ashley reported. "I informed CSL that this was a new virus that may not perform as other viruses performed." Ms Ashley then told two other CSL officials the test could not assure the viral inactivation was achieved and further tests should be conducted to ensure the inactivation process was achieved. She was fobbed off with a terse reply, "All material has been demonstrated to be inactivated."

The FDA report also found vaccine solutions were not protected from "'contamination", as operators failed to wear masks. Better late than never, a CSL spokeswoman said it is now requiring its operators to wear face masks. What other forms of benign neglect will the FDA discover in future as CSL continues to market a vaccine with dubious effectiveness.

Australia's Therapeutic Goods Administration said it is auditing CSL monthly to see if they have improved their compliance system and have improved current processes and their quality control. It's always after the "horse-has-bolted" and innocent people are injured by slapdash production and sleeping watchdogs that make the headlines and gets the public irate, but not irate enough to refuse to have these useless shots.

The Way I See It....medical brainwashing of the public is ingrained in our society even after year after year there are studies showing flu vaccines DO NOT provide any benefit no matter what age group you are in. Three years ago a study in the British Medical Journal concluded that the effectiveness of annual flu shots has been exaggerated and that in reality they have little or no effect on influenza campaign objectives, including reducing the number of hospital stays, time off work and death from the flu and its complications. Say "NO" to the Bastards!

Belly-Fat Boosts Eye Disease Risk

Excess abdominal fat increases the risk of age-related macular degeneration in middle-aged men and may have an opposite effect in women, says a study in the American Journal of Epidemiology.

Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) is a leading cause of blindness in older people and treatment options are limited. A study of 21, 290 Australians who were followed from their 40s to mid-80s found that each o.1 increase in the waist/hip ratio was associated with a 13% increased chance of developing early-stage AMD and a 75% increased chance of the more severe late-stage AMD, but only in men. Strangely, abdominal obesity reduced early AMD risk in women by 7% to 11%.

"Belly-fat releases estrogen and other chemicals (like cytokines) that may contribute to inflammation associated with AMD", researchers said. The inverse association in women could reflect a genetic resilience to disease seen older people called "the Survivorship Effect" plus the protective effects of long-term estrogen exposure.

AMD occurs when central vision deteriorates, making reading, close work and recognizing face more difficult. The most common forms are Dry and Wet AMD. Dry AMD results in a gradual loss of central vision and Wet AMD leads to sudden and significant changes in vision.

What are the symptoms?

  • A gradual decline in the ability to see objects clearly

  • Distorted vision

  • Dark or empty spaces blocking the central field of vision

  • Dimming of colour vision

The Way I See It....there is currently no cure of Age-related Macular Degeneration but treatments are available that are aimed at maintaining the vision for as long possible. You must visit an eye doctor about seeing if other eye problems that affect vision can be detected. Also an up-to-date glasses prescription is important as well as getting any cataracts and glaucoma treated.

Aside from the new found belly-fat risk just mentioned, there is a now a well-established link between smoking and AMD....so it makes good sense for women as well as men to avoid or give up smoking as they enter their third trimester of Life.

"A Conga Line of Suckholes"

This was the former leader of the anti-American Australian Labor Party, Mark Latham's, view of politicians of John Howard's administration visiting George Bush in Washington six years ago. It looks like the Suckhole is on the other foot. The pictures of Prime Minister Julia Gillard and President Obama from the APEC conference were just as cloying as those we saw of the Howard-Bush "love-ins", but strangely haven't attracted the same political criticism. Had Messrs Howard and Bush come up with anything as tacky as the grass shirts and coconut-bra banter the two concocted for the cameras, they would have been mercilessly lampooned.

"Julia Gillard is fawning over this US president like I've seen no other Prime Minister do over past presidents...but that's forgiven in a Labor leader", says Andrew Bolt, journalist for the Herald Sun newspaper. Greens leader, Bob Brown heckled the previous president to address Parliament; this time he's silent, even though Obama is about to station US forces in the Northern Territory. Amazing!

Obama, who came to office brainwashed by his father to resent America's exceptionalism, bowing to the Saudi king and Japanese emperor, apologising for the US to the Middle East and playing nice guy to China, has been smartened up sharply by reality. On this visit he has defied China by moving troops here, declaring the Pacific region his special focus and boosting a new trade Trans-Pacific Partnership that excludes China. Labor's flirtation with anti-Americanism is now over. It really was just a fit of ideological madness.

Obama and Gillard have engineered a historic recasting of the alliance to manage security and disaster contingencies in Southeast Asia amid the rise of China. We're probably now even closer to the US than ever, with the ever fatuous Greens mute and Labor charmed, so much so that it was embarrassing to to see our Julia, trembling like a school girl, speaking to reporters about Obama being Australia's best friend. What she didn't mention is he is more popular here than at home and we are still inspired by a black man being president. Of course our socialist lame-stream media is delighted that he's of the Left as well but never questioned the mystery of the obvious attraction of white women to black men.

The Way I See It....opposition leader Tony Abbott was the consistently better public speaker, with a more intellectual and thoughtful message than Gillard's servile demeanor. He couldn't resist a few political jabs in his speech of welcome to Obama in Parliament, noting, for instance how Labor took a long detour before backing uranium sales to India. His speech revealed depths of his leadership character that are at odds with the cynical media's stereotype.

What all the speeches made clear is that what binds us to the United States is what will NEVER in our lifetime bind us to China -- our shared values, including those of a free vote, free speech and a free press. However, the fact remains that the greatest danger of military conflict remains in the Middle East and northern Africa. And one of the greatest financial dangers lie in Europe. Let us hope that the Pacific focus is not an excuse to ignore potentially greater and more intractable challenges.

OWS: Occupy Wall St. OR Overall We're Stupid!

The Occupy Wall Street movement is a "primal scream" against inequality, said Nicholas Kristol of the New York Times. They chant: "The world is watching!" "This is how democracy looks!" Unfortunately, the media and some demonstrators have had the nerve to compare the OWS to the 2010 Tea Party movement that brought about a re-balancing of political power. At least the Tea Partiers have jobs, showers and have a point. Actually, a more correct term for this mob would be the Flea Party; as in wingless, bloodsucking and parasitic!

So far the only major accomplishment of the protesters is that they put an end to their previous initiative, "Occupy Our Parents Homes". They talk of being the 99% that got the rough end of the economic stick while only 1% got the gravy. Actually the group is made up of 1% main street folks and the 99% are a mixture of adolescents seeking a cause, leftist public sector unionists, drug dealers, criminals, teenage runaways, pick-pockets, homeless people, Trotskyists and die hard-Marxists who have been at every protest since the Berkeley Free Speech Movement (whose hair is now in their ponytails).

No one knows what the Wall Street protesters want--as is typical of mobs. This is true of the other Occupy mobs across the U.S.A., Europe and even stupidly in economically prosperous Australia! They say say they want to abolish capitalism while wearing designer jeans and T-shirts emblazoned with global corporate logos. They say they want Obama re-elected, but claim to hate Wall Street. These ignorant fools forget that it was the same Wall Street that gave its largest campaign donation in history to Obama, who in turn, bailed out the banks and made Goldman Sachs the forth branch of the government. That's why hypocrite Obama allowed the new regulations on Wall Street traders and banks to remain toothless. Of course, this way he is hoping for more donations for his 2012 campaign.

Back to reality. Besides watching these scum urinate on police cars and defecate in store fronts, Zucotti Park has become overrun by sexual predators attacking women in the night. The organizers felt compelled to set up a female-only sleeping tent, guarded by women, to keep the sickos away. This "safety tent" idea has spread to others sites around the country. It's shameful that most press outlets (like the protesters themselves) look the other way at the depravity happening inside "Obamaville", with actual rapes being shrugged off because they're bad PR for a movement they support.

The Way I See It....once Obamas Zombies frame precise demands -- like nationalising the banks -- the movement will die in the full light of the realities of American politics. Maybe the coming of Winter will help as well. In addition, its elitism will cut it off from working people. The traditional Left believed in the abilities of the working class to change the world and create a society of plenty. However, this gaggle of hipsters and leftists display a trendy disdain for the brainwashed workers which will only lead them to succeed in throwing out a no-hoper president in next year's election.

That's what democracy looks like.

White is the NEW Black!

There's a joke going around the corridors of power in Washington on both sides of the political spectrum that is quite illuminating.

QUESTION: What do Vanilla Ice, Eminem, and Barack Obama have in common?

ANSWER: They have all made careers pretending to be a black man!

How phony is Barack Obama? PBS Washington Week host Gwen Ifill reviewed New Yorker editor David Remnick's new book about Obama, "The Bridge" and she says she found Obama is a Slick Barry; a "shape shifter." She's found that even Obama's fans notice he's a phony in how he writes, talks and even walks.

When questioned about this Obama admitted to rhetoric that's obvious - how he changes "dialects" depending on the audience he's talking to: "The fact that I conjugate my verbs and speak in a typical Midwesterner's voice--there's no doubt that this helps ease communication between myself and white audiences. And when I'm with a black audience I slip into a different dialect which allows them to be comfortable hearing me".

Obama, the offspring of a fruitcake Marxist, white mother and an alcoholic, womanizing, socialist African father, learned what Remnick calls "shape-shifting" when he arrived in Chicago. Reared in Hawaii by Commie grandparents and in Indonesia by his mother's second fling, a Muslim husband, he had never encountered a place where race was so determinative.

Bobby Rush, former Black Panther, is still disdainful of this Harvard Law School transplant to his city. He says, "Obama lost the election to Congress to me because black voters were suspicious of his racial bona fides." In one of book's most remarkable passages, Rush mocks the President by getting out of his chair to make fun of Obama's distinctive, rolling stride. The smooth strut, Rush suggests, was something Obama appropriated from the street to appear more at home around black people. "He pretended to be a "homey", he added.

The book noted the Republicans take on the Obama-intoxicated media with Mark Salter, McCain's campaign adviser, stating bluntly that "Obama won because his race played into reporters romantic notions about the arc of civil rights history, yet nobody really knows who the real man is."

The Way I See It....the alleged guardians of factual accuracy in our media took a complete holiday when it came to Obama's corrupt shenanigens in Chicago and especially with his first memoir; he is one who has largely been allowed to romanticize his own story and make suckers of the voters who believe such touching bullshit. His 1995 memoir, "Dreams from my Father", is a mixture of verifiable fact, recollection, recreation, invention and artful shaping.

Obama, Remnick, points out, ended each section with a climactic, somewhat overwrought descriptions of himself in tears -- as he sees his father in a dream, discovers his spiritual roots in a church (that condemns America), and visits his father's grave. The author says, "I almost bought into it when I first read it but not now, being a professional skeptic, I find it difficult to conceive of a cool cucumber like Obama being that overcome by emotion." Unfortunately, people blindly flocked to him and the press fawned over him and look what we got...BAD Change and NO Hope!

For anyone silly enough to think of voting for him again I highly recommend doing your homework this time and read the book The Case Against Obama, by David Freddoso (Regnery Publishing Inc.) and more importantly The Roots of Obama's Rage, by Dinesh D'Souza (Regnery Publishing Inc.). By becoming enlightened of the true caliber and motivation of this man you can maybe make the smart decision not to be sucked in a second time.
